JOHN TUFTS (The Poet)

John (he, him, his) is thrilled to be performing with Rogue Theater Company. In 14 season at OSF, favorite roles include: Henry V in Henry V; Prince Hal in Henry IV, Parts One and Two; Philanax in Head Over Heels; Chico in The Cocoanuts; Robin Hood in The Heart of Robin Hood; Sharpe in Equivocation; Romeo in Romeo and Juliet; and Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Off Broadway Ensemble Studio Theater; Mint Theatre; and Primary Stages where he received a Lucille Lortel Nomination for his roles in Kate Hamill’s Pride and Prejudice. CHRISTINE ALBRIGHT-TUFTS (Director)

For the last 20 years, Christine has worked as an actor, director, and educator. Actor: Arena Stage, Goodman Theatre, Berkeley Rep, Seattle Rep, Marin Theatre Company, Syracuse Stage, Mint Theatre Company, La Jolla Playhouse, others. Oregon Shakespeare Festival: actor, teaching artist and manager of the School Visit Program. Favorite OSF performances include Up, Romeo and Juliet, Equivocation, and As You Like It. Director: World-Premiere of Play On!’s Cymbeline translated by Andrea Thome at Syracuse University; An interactive virtual production of Caryl Churchill’s Love and Information for Syracuse University; Louisville//KY/USA for Actors Theatre of Louisville, OSF’s School Visit Program (The Tempest, They Say It’s Your Birthday); Chicago Shakespeare Theatre (staged reading of Titus, an ASL adaptation); Lean Ensemble Theater (The Importance of Being Earnest); and Roosevelt University’s Chicago College of Performing Arts (Bully).

MICHAEL PALZEWICZ (The Muse)

Michal played cello for RTC's A Doll's House, Part 2. He has performed extensively in the US and Europe, both as a soloist and ensemble player. He has performed to great acclaim at prestigious venues such as Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in NYC and Wigmore Hall in England, and a soloist with several orchestras, including the Juneau Symphony Orchestra and the Rogue Valley Symphony Orchestra. Michal was the founding member of the Elsner String Quartet, which earned him the Saunderson Award. He has also performed in numerous productions at the OSF and many other theatres throughout the US. Currently, Michal teaches cello at SOU, and is performing both as a solo artist (cello, violin and viola da gamba) and with two new ensemble projects: Michal Palzewicz Trio with Daniel Sherrill (guitar) and Reed Bentley (percussion); Duo Jette – with Pat O’Scannell (viola da gamba).
